This poem started during one of those moments where I felt myself slipping into my own head.

Writing helps me catch what I’m feeling before it disappears or turns darker.

As a child, I was told things like “big girls don’t cry” and “stop being dramatic,” so I learned to bury parts of myself.

Now I write because every human experience has value, and none of it should be dismissed.

The Draft

Written fast, no filter — just trying to catch it before it slipped away.

The Finished Version

What Changed

– The draft was raw and chaotic — the final version gives it structure

– The imagery became clearer and more intense

– The pacing was slowed to build tension

– The ending was sharpened to hit harder

This is what my process looks like.

No AI. Just me — human and messy.
