There are moments in a writer’s journey that arrive quietly.

No fanfare.

No grand announcement.

Just the simple realisation that someone has found your work and connected with it.

I was honoured to be featured by Poetry Cooperative as part of their #PoetsLift series.

Poetry Cooperative highlights poets from around the world, sharing their stories, creative journeys, and the work that shapes their voice. To be included among so many talented writers was both humbling and encouraging.

During the interview, I spoke about my writing journey, dyslexia, poetry, publishing, and the experiences that have shaped my work.

Writing has never been about perfection for me.

It has always been about honesty.

About finding words for things that are difficult to explain.

About giving a voice to experiences that many people carry in silence.

As a dyslexic poet from North Tyneside, my path into writing was not always straightforward. Yet poetry became the place where I could make sense of the world and, in doing so, connect with others.

I would like to thank Poetry Cooperative for the opportunity to share my story and my work with their readers.
